Day 2 - Auckland

Ok.
36 hours traveling through London and Hongkong took its toll - the first day was spent buying the last necessary things and then hanging out in The Bamber House (our hostel). We saw a bit of Auckland and concluded its a nice city. Today that conclusion was elaborated into: There is no good reason whatsoever to NOT move to NZ, except it's so far away that no one will ever be able to come over! It was Roi's birthday and we spent it going to Waiheke Island to have a wine tasting and enjoy the sun on a paradise-like beach. Dinner was enjoyed back in Auckland in a fancy restaurant, and Roi is very pleased in general with his mid-winter birthday celebrations and with his lollipop that formed his birthday present.
It's about 20 degrees and pretty humid, and the tan is starting to show already (despite our carefulness with sunlotion and staying in the shade). So far we have no well formed plans, but we're aiming tomorrow up north.
Unfortunately we're a tad too tired to fix you any pictures at this moment, but it'll come. Promise.

A birthday in NZ, what more could a man ask for?

Have a blast and make good use of that camera!

Birthday issues etc will be taken care of (with a slight delay) once relevant parties are back at home-base.

I've been watching the first season of The Flight of the Conchords, so naturally I thought of you two on your NZ hijinks. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures!
